If you're interested in trying out one of these games, but don't know where to start, I've created a Google Sheet which organizes all of my games by complexity, required components, player count, and theme/mechanics. Feel free to check it out!

Astropals is a cooperative set collection game. Players work together as a team of rovers, traveling around the solar system to complete various missions. Each mission requires a number of matching cards, and players can use action cards to help each other. Each rover has their own special ability.

  • Players : 3-5

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 30-60 MINUTES

The Black Roses is a competitive and cutthroat game wherein players advance up the ranks of a secret society. They will use characters, cronies, and skills to help them gain power within the Order. Each player has a unique pair of tracks on the scoretrack which they must complete in order to win the game. There are almost 100 unique actions players can take during the game.

  • Duration : 60-120 MINUTES

Daisy Chains is a simple and serene roll-and-write about planting gardens. Each player has their own garden plot, and uses the dice results to fill in spaces of their garden. There are several gameplay mechanics which players can use to help them fill their garden, and multiple ways to score points. It can be played as a solo game or as a multi-player game.

  • Players : 1+

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 15-30 MINUTES

Dynamic Powers is a deck-building superhero game which uses dice as currency. Players will compete to build the strongest team of heroes in order to defeat the villains. The cards in the game allow players to roll different dice, which can be used to gain new cards. There is light player interaction, as players are fighting their own villains.

  • Difficulty : EASY-MEDIUM

  • Duration : 45-60 MINUTES

Fragments is an asymmetrical 4X game which takes place in a dystopian wasteland. Each player represents a unique fragment of society, and each has a different gameplay style and victory condition. Players explore the map and add hexagonal tiles, expanding their territory and exploiting the resources on the map. Gameplay is best suited for higher player counts, but can be played with as few as three players.

  • Difficulty : MEDIUM-HARD

  • Duration : 90-180 MINUTES

Grotesque is a Victorian-era monster hunting game. One player acts as the Monster Lord, and the other players become hunters sent to destroy the Monster Lord's beasts. Hunters can choose to work together to defeat difficult creatures, or fight solo and collect all of the gold. The Monster Lord wins if they defeat a number of hunters, and the hunters win by collecting enough gold.

  • Players : 3-6

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 30-45 MINUTES

The Lair is a game in which players become explorers, navigating the legendary maze of the Minotaur. Players combine cards in their hands to form sets, and use those sets of cards to take actions, including moving around the maze, stealing gold, and modifying the maze layout. Brave adventurers can also attempt to steal treasures from the Minotaur's Lair - each one gives the player a unique ability.

  • Players : 2-4

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 30-45 MINUTES

Law of the Land is a game where players take on the roles of US Marshals, fighting criminals in the wild west. Players can choose to work together and defeat the toughest outlaws, or ride solo and earn more money. Each marshal has a unique skill and victory point condition. Players can collect items and weapons, and hire mavericks to strengthen their posse, and even gamble if they feel lucky.

  • Players : 1-4

  • Difficulty : MEDIUM

  • Duration : 60-90 MINUTES

The Long Haul is a pickup-and-delivery game. Each player works as the operator of an American trucking company, traveling around the country to fulfill orders. Each company has slightly modified gameplay. Players draw Route cards, and can use them as movement, or to complete their orders. Players can also choose to push their luck and draw cards which can either help their progress or cause setbacks.

  • Difficulty : EASY-MEDIUM

  • Duration : 45-60 MINUTES

Merchants of Fortune is a Euro game about building cities and road networks on an island. The game is played on a dry-erase board on which players can draw their roads and add their cities. Players compete to gain resources and collect trade cards which earn them money, give them new actions, and improve their gameplay.

  • Players : 1-4

  • Difficulty : MEDIUM

  • Duration : 45-90 MINUTES

Mutiny! is a card game about being pirates and stealing gold. The cards in the game represent pirates, mutineers, naval sailors, and other characters. Players use these cards to collect gold, steal from each other, initiate a mutiny, or take other actions. There are three different ways that the game can end, and 36 different characters in the game.

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 10-20 MINUTES

Paradise Park is a cooperative rescue mission game. Players must work together to find and rescue scouts lost in a national park. Each player takes on the role of a scout pack, and can move their leaders around the map, uncovering tokens and trying to find the scouts before night falls. However, movement is slower when traveling with the scouts, so players need to optimize their paths.

​Royal Paynes is a set collection drafting card game. Each player is trying to collect the best court of European nobles in order to gain favor the the British noble family, the Paynes. The cards in the game represent various family members from different kingdoms, and there are many different scoring options and actions among the cards. The game lasts for three rounds, and players can save cards between each round.

  • Players : 3-8

  • Difficulty : MEDIUM

  • Duration : 30-60 MINUTES

Ruddy Muckers is a game about the American political scene of the early 1900s. Each player takes on a different role: two players represent the party nominees, one player represents the press, and one player represents the public. Over the course of a few rounds, players will add cards to their tableau to help their progress, hinder their opponents, or take special actions. Players must use their wits and wile to outsmart their opponents, and no scandal is too much to handle.

  • Players : 2-4

  • Difficulty : MEDIUM

  • Duration : 45-75 MINUTES

The Stakes is a social deduction game about witchcraft hysteria in colonial New England. Players take on the roles of villagers trying to find and eliminate the witches in their town. Each villager has a unique power a player can use, but if that villager is killed, they become a poltergeist which haunts the town. There is no player elimination because the witches are a passive opponent.

  • Players : 3-6

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 20-30 MINUTES

Strange Arrangements is a card game in which players must organize the seats at a wedding. Each player is in charge of a few tables, and wants to ensure that the guests seated there will be happy. Guests will gain happiness if they are seated with their family members or other guests with similar interests. There are also action cards which players can use to move guests around and improve their overall happiness.

  • Players : 2-6

  • Difficulty : EASY

  • Duration : 30-45 MINUTES
